Airlines look at more than raw ability. Alongside the cognitive tests, selection explores the non-technical qualities that make a safe crew member: conscientiousness, composure under pressure, teamwork, openness to feedback, situational awareness and the willingness to speak up. This is an original self-report to help you reflect on those qualities. You rate a series of statements on how well they describe you, and you get back a simple profile with guidance on what each trait means and what airlines tend to look for, plus prompts to help you prepare your background and motivation answers. It is a reflection tool, not a test: there are no right answers, no score and no pass or fail, and it does not measure your personality or predict any selection result.

Good to know

  • Answer honestly, not strategically

    It is tempting to pick the answers you think an airline wants. That defeats the point: this is a private mirror to help you understand your own style, and in a real assessment trained psychologists use scales designed to catch answering to look good. You get far more from it by rating each statement as it truly is for you, then reflecting on where you might grow.

  • Turn the profile into interview preparation

    The real value is the reflection. For each trait, think of a specific, true example from work, study or life that shows it, and note where you have found it harder. Then use the biographical and motivation prompts to rehearse those stories with a simple Situation, Task, Action, Result structure, which is what most airline interviews reward.

Is this an official personality test, and is it affiliated with any airline or test provider?

No. SkyStudy is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any airline, assessment centre or test publisher. This is an original educational reflection tool. It does not reproduce, or score against, any published questionnaire.

Do I get a score, and can I pass or fail?

No. There is no score, no ranking and no pass or fail. The profile simply mirrors how you rated your own statements, so you can reflect on your style. Longer bars are not better, and there is no ideal shape.

Does this predict whether I will pass an airline's selection?

No. It cannot and does not predict any selection outcome. Real personality assessment in selection is done by trained psychologists using validated instruments and structured interviews. Use this only as a prompt for honest self-reflection and interview preparation.

How does the profile work?

You rate 24 statements on a five-point agreement scale. Each statement belongs to one of six traits, and half of them are worded the opposite way round, so simply agreeing with everything gives a flat, uninformative profile. Your ratings are turned into a simple percentage lean for each trait.

Where are my answers stored?

Only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. You can retake it at any time, and returning to the page shows your last profile.
