Verified employer profile
Air France
Everything on this page comes from an employer profile a person verified against the sources listed at the bottom, on 15 August 2026. Hiring processes change, and a profile is only as current as its last check.
The operator
Air France is France's flag carrier, flying a mixed narrowbody and widebody fleet from its Paris Charles de Gaulle hub. It hires professional pilots directly and also runs a fully funded Cadet Pilot programme for candidates from the European Economic Area or Switzerland.
How to use this
Do not learn these facts. Nobody is impressed by a candidate who can recite a fleet list, and "what do you know about us" is not a memory test. It is a question about why you applied here rather than somewhere else.
- Pick two facts here that actually matter to you, and write one sentence each on why they do. The network, a base you could live at, the type, the shape of the first year.
- Connect each one to something you have done. A fact plus a reason plus your own experience is an answer. A fact on its own is a recital.
- Check the sources at the bottom of this page before you rely on any of it out loud, and check Air France's own careers pages too. Profiles go out of date between verifications.
- Then say it out loud in the airline interview room, where it is marked on how the answer is built rather than on how much you knew.
How they hire
- 1
Phase de recevabilité
Étude du curriculum vitae et lettre de motivation rédigés en français.
- 2
Phase de tests PSY 1
Tests psychotechniques et psychomoteurs, à l'ENAC. The operator states the outcome places a candidate on a main list, a secondary list or a not-admitted list, and that only the main list is called to PSY 2 automatically.
- 3
Phase de tests PSY 2
Inventaires de personnalité, épreuves de groupe et entretien individuel.
- 4
Épreuve sur simulateur de vol
Stated by the operator as conditional: "Eventuellement une épreuve sur simulateur de vol".
The interview
An individual interview forms part of the PSY 2 stage, alongside personality inventories and group exercises.
